New title
Our co-founder Henning was already dealing with the subject of "back" while he was studying sports science at the University of Göttingen. His interest intensified while working as a qualified sports teacher in various rehabilitation facilities, and last but not least as a person who was repeatedly plagued by back problems who could not really be helped in the traditional way.
Therefore, when he started his own business, Henning started looking for a measuring device that could adequately measure and display the status of the back, that would meet his high standards and at the same time be affordable for the self-employed. Since he couldn't find what he was looking for on the market, he quickly invented the TRICURO go together with his brother Andreas and Thomas.
OUR HABITAT AT THE HIP
It's the dream of every tech start-up: In the Health Innovation Port on the Philips campus in Hamburg, we found exactly what you need to develop a modern measuring device. Next to the hi-tech workshop where we can develop our prototypes, primarily represents the network of other talented founders one imits advantage.
In addition, the HIP is of course not only a coworking space, but also an important platform for networking and is perfect for making contacts in business, as well as with experts and investors.
SUPPORTED FROM MANY SIDES
You rarely make it to the finish without support. We are therefore grateful for the valuable support we have received from the HIP, but also from other sources. In 2019, KENTAGO was one of the first Hamburg startups to be supported as part of the "InnoFounder" program of the Hamburg Investment and Development Bank. With these funds we were able to develop the first fully functional prototype of the TRICURO go and sell it to the first interested parties.
These "conversions" in turn were decisive for a first round of financing with the help of Hamburg business angels, which made series development possible for us in spring 2021. And from now on, the "market" decides on the further success of the TRICURO go - and you too.
